Jasper Flynn is a narrative journalist commissioned by House Subconium to research and document the true history of Verdant, Connecticut and Eastern Tsuga College. He is the in-universe author of all Subconium Shared Universe works. His cover identity within ETC's official communications infrastructure is Communications Director, a position that provides institutional access and a plausible explanation for his presence at college events, his knowledge of internal affairs, and his proximity to the people and situations he documents.
Flynn's position is that the events he documents are real. Readers are invited to decide how much of that to believe.
He is also believed to have a working relationship with the Intendment Institute, a clandestine clinical organization with roots in Verdant, though the nature of that relationship has not been established in canon.
